Monitoring Potential Impacts of Hurricane Milton

The Town of Seabrook Island is continuing to monitor the Major Category 4 Hurricane Milton. The National Weather Service does expect this storm to become a Category 5 Hurricane by tomorrow. This system will make landfall in Florida late Wednesday.

The storm will then pass to our south in the Lowcountry, but we could experience coastal flooding, rough ocean conditions, gusty winds, and some rain on Thursday. We will be on the weaker side of the storm.
