Boards, Commissions & Committees

The town has several boards, commissions and committees which are made up of citizen volunteers from throughout the community.

The town has eight standing bodies which meet on a regular basis:

• ​ATAX Advisory Committee: 7 Members; 2-Year Terms
• Board of Zoning Appeals: 5 Members; 5-Year Terms
• Community Promotions & Engagement Committee: 5 Members; 2-Year Terms
• Environment & Wildlife Committee: 5 Members; 2-Year Terms
• Planning Commission: 5 Members; 2-Year Terms
• ​Public Safety Committee​: 5 Members; 2-Year Terms
• ​Public Works Committee​: 5 Members; 2-Year Terms
• Utility Commission: 3 Members (Elected); 6-Year Terms

Additionally, the Town Council may establish various ad hoc and special committees for a specific purpose and duration.

Volunteer Application Form

Are you interested in volunteering to serve on a town board, commission or committee? The Mayor and Council will review applications from interested residents any time there is a vacancy (or pending vacancy) to be filled. Applications will be kept on file with the Town Clerk for a period of two years from the date submitted.
