The Town of Seabrook Island has a small but dedicated group of employees who are committed to providing efficient and effective services to our residents, visitors, businesses and property owners.
Joe Cronin, Town AdministratorThe Town Administrator is appointed by the Mayor and members of Town Council to assist the Mayor with managing the day-to-day operations of the town. The Town Administrator is responsible for supervising town staff, implementing the town's budget and managing outside service providers. The Town Administrator is also designated as the Operations Official under the town's Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.

Katharine Watkins, Town Clerk/TreasurerThe Town Clerk/Treasurer provides accounting, clerical and secretarial services to the Mayor and Town Council and serves as the municipal clerk for all regular, special and emergency meetings of Town Council. As the town's chief archivist, the Town Clerk/Treasurer is the primary point of contact for all requests submitted under the SC Freedom of Information Act. She also assists the Municipal Judge as the town's Clerk of Court.

Lynda Stearns, License & Permit SpecialistThe License & Permit Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for individuals and entities seeking to establish or renew a business license within the town limits. The License & Permit Specialist also assists homeowners, builders and contractors in obtaining necessary permits for construction, maintenance and renovation work within the town, and coordinates permitting and inspection activities with Charleston County.

Tyler Newman, Zoning AdministratorThe Zoning Administrator is responsible for the administration of the town’s planning, zoning, and code enforcement functions. The Zoning Administrator interprets, monitors and enforces a variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations related to zoning, business licensing, permitting, nuisance abatement, and health and safety issues. The Zoning Administrator also serves as the town's Chief Code Enforcement Officer.

Nichole Nettles, STR Compliance ManagerThe Short-Term Rental (STR) Compliance Manager is responsible for administering and enforcing the town’s STR ordinance. The STR Compliance Manager processes STR permit applications, ensures compliance with the town’s STR regulations, coordinates the inspection of STR units, enforces violations of the STR ordinance, and responds to public inquiries, complaints, and requests for service.

Robert Meyer, Buildings & Grounds ManagerThe Buildings and Grounds Manager is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of all facilities and grounds owned and/or maintained by the town, including Town Hall, Seabrook Island Road and the shared use pathway. The Building and Grounds manager also plans, schedules, coordinates, directs and oversees the work of seasonal personnel and contracted service providers.

Mike Williams, Code Enforcement OfficerCode Enforcement Officers are responsible for identifying, investigating and enforcing alleged violations of the town's Code of Ordinances and Development Standards Ordinance. Code Enforcement Officers are empowered by the Mayor and Town Council to issue an ordinance summons in instances where a violation is alleged to have occurred. Code Enforcement Officers have the same powers and duties as a constable.

Beth Rinehimer, Administrative AssistantThe Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative duties in support of the Mayor, Town Administrator, and other members of town staff. The Administrative Assistant serves as the initial point of contact for the public and responds to various types of inquiries, complaints, and requests. The Administrative Assistant also assists with the administration and enforcement of business licensing and short-term rental regulations.
