PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby provided that Seabrook Island Town Council will hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. During the emergency meeting, Town Council will consider the following emergency ordinance:
Individuals who wish to submit a public comment on the proposed emergency ordinance may do so in advance of the meeting using one of the options listed below. Written comments will be accepted until 9:00 a.m. on the day of the meeting.
Consistent with recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) related to “social distancing,” the Town of Seabrook Island is requesting that members of the public who wish to observe this meeting participate remotely by using one of the following options:

- Emergency Ordinance 2020-04: An Emergency Ordinance to extend requirements related to social distancing and group congregations; to modify the requirements for certain businesses; to prohibit the sale or consumption of beer, wine or alcoholic liquor on the premises of all persons or businesses licensed to sell beer, wine or alcoholic liquor between the hours of 11:00 pm and 10:00 am; to extend the prohibition on temporary use permits; to extend the expiration date for active building permits; and other matters related thereto [View Draft Ordinance]

Submit an Online CommentTown Council will accept online comments on Emergency Ordinance 2020-04 until Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 9:00 AM. All comments received through this portal will be forwarded to Council in advance of the emergency meeting. Comments will not receive a written response, but may be addressed or discussed by Council during the meeting. Please note that all comments will become part of the public record and may be subject to release under the requirements of the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act. |
