PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Notice is hereby provided that a virtual Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom. During the public hearing, Town Council will review comments received on the following ordinance:
Ordinance 2020-18
An ordinance amending the Development Standards Ordinance for the Town of Seabrook Island, South Carolina; Article 2, Definitions and Interpretation of Terms; Section 2.10, Definitions; so as to add definitions for “base flood elevation (BFE),” “Design Flood Elevation (DFE),” and “Freeboard,” and to amend the definitions for “Building Height” and “Flood Hazard District”; and Article 7, Lot and Building Requirements; Section 7.90, Height Limitations; so as to amend the maximum height requirement for structures within the town
A copy of the proposed ordinance may be viewed by clicking the link above. The ordinance may also be viewed at Town Hall during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).
Individuals who wish to submit a public comment on the proposed ordinance may do so in writing by 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, using one of the following options:

Submit an Online CommentTown Council will accept comments on Ordinance 2020-18 until Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 12:00 PM. All comments received through this portal will be forwarded to Council in advance of the public hearing. Comments will not receive a written response, but may be addressed or discussed by Council during the public hearing. Please note that all comments will become part of the public record and may be subject to release under the requirements of the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act. |
