PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Town of Seabrook Island Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a Public Hearing on Wednesday June 26, 2024 at 1:00PM at Seabrook Island Town Hall (2001 Seabrook Island Road). During the meeting, the board will consider the following request for variance from the Development Standards Ordinance for the Town of Seabrook Island:

- To allow a proposed timber retaining wall to encroach 22 feet and 9 inches into the required 25-foot critical area setback

- To allow a proposed timber retaining wall to encroach 25 feet into the required 25-foot waterbody setback
- To allow a proposed timber retaining wall to encroach 12 feet and six inches into the required 12-foot six inch side yard setback
- To allow a proposed timber retaining wall to encroach up to 23 feet into the required 25-foot rear yard setback
- To allow a proposed timber retaining wall to encroach six feet and three inches into the required six-foot three inch side yard setback for fences and walls
- To allow a proposed timber retaining wall to encroach 7 feet and nine inches into the required 12-foot six inch rear yard setback for fences and walls
- To allow a proposed timber retaining wall to be constructed within the required critical area setback

Submit an Online CommentThe Board of Zoning Appeals will accept online comments on Variance #186 until 12:00 PM the day prior to the meeting. All comments received through this portal will be forwarded to the Board in advance of the public hearing.
