Charleston County offices will also close at noon on Friday in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
Juneteenth was established as a federal holiday on Thu. June 17, 2021, when President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law. The holiday celebrates the emancipation of African-American slaves in the United States.
