The event will take place on Wednesday, May 30th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at the Kiawah Island Municipal Center (4475 Betsy Kerrison Parkway).

During the Q&A session, Mayor Ron Ciancio of Seabrook Island and Mayor Craig Weaver of Kiawah Island will be asking the candidates a series of questions on behalf of residents of both jurisdictions. Any resident who wishes to suggest a question for the candidates may do so in advance of the meeting. Questions should be submitted no later than Monday, May 21st. Seabrook Island residents may send their questions to jcronin@townofseabrookisland.org. The Towns of Seabrook Island and Kiawah Island make up an important part of Charleston County Council's District 9 jurisdiction, and a good voter turnout can determine the election. The Republican primary election for the District 9 Council race will be held on Tuesday, June 12th. There is no Democrat primary for the District 9 Council race on June 12th.
