On Thurs. December 10th, Mayor John Gregg, members of Seabrook Island Town Council and town staff were on hand to welcome guests to Town Hall during our first ever Drive-Thru Christmas Party. Attendees were treated to sweet holiday treats from Wildflour Pastry, a drive-thru light display on the grounds of Town Hall and festive holiday music. December 10th was also the last day to drop off a toy for our Toys for Tots toy drive. This year, thanks to your generosity, we collected a total of 6 full boxes of toys! The toys were delivered to the Toys for Tots office in Summerville on December 11th, where they will be distributed to children and families throughout the Charleston region. If you didn't get a chance to see the Christmas lights at Town Hall during the Drive-Thru Christmas Party, they will remain on display until January 4th. Merry Christmas from all of us at the Town of Seabrook Island! ![]() On behalf of the Town of Seabrook Island, we would like to thank everyone who came out to our annual Christmas Drop-In on Thursday, December 10th. The Christmas Drop-In is a longstanding tradition at Town Hall and, as always, it was wonderful to see so many of our friends and neighbors at this year’s event. Once again, the Town of Seabrook Island held a toy drive in support of the Toys for Tots program. The Toys for Tots program was established in 1947 by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and has been managed by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation since 1991. Each year, the program collects and distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. Since its founding in 1947, the Toys for Tots program has collected and distributed more than 500 million toys to children across the country. Spearheaded in the early 2000’s by former Town Councilman Bob Ferguson and former Town Administrator Randy Pierce – both of whom served in the U.S. Marines Corps – the Town of Seabrook Island has supported the Toys for Tots program for nearly 20 years. This year, our donation boxes were overflowing as residents donated more than six full boxes of new, unwrapped toys. Following the Christmas Drop-In, members of town staff brought all of the toys to our local Toys for Tots office at Northwoods Mall, where they will be sorted and delivered to children in the Charleston area. We would like to thank our residents for their generosity, and for supporting this year’s toy drive. We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, and a safe, happy and healthy new year! Mayor John Gregg and members of Seabrook Island Town Council wish to extend an invitation to all residents and property owners to attend the town's annual Christmas Drop-In. This year's event will take place on Thursday, December 12th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Seabrook Island Town Hall (2001 Seabrook Island Road). Attendees will enjoy free food, refreshments and festive holiday music.
As in previous years, the town will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. Donations may be dropped off at Town Hall during the Christmas Drop-In, or anytime between now and December 12th. On behalf of the Town of Seabrook Island, we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season! ![]() On behalf of the Town of Seabrook Island, we would like to thank everyone who came out to our Christmas Drop-In on Monday, December 17th.
