Are you interested in serving on a town board, commission or committee? The Mayor and Council are currently soliciting applications from citizen volunteers for appointment to the following bodies:
 
Accommodations Tax (ATAX) Advisory Committee

• One (1) At-Large seat to fill an unexpired term
• One (1) Cultural seat to fill an unexpired term
  • The applicant must be be actively involved and familiar with the cultural community of the area including, but not limited to, the arts, historical preservation, museums, and festivals. 
• The unexpired terms end in 2024
• The committee meets at least once per year at the call of the chair

Board of Zoning Appeals

• ​One (1) seat to fill an unexpired term
• The board meets on the fourth Wednesday at 1:00PM
• Each member must be a registered voter of the town
• The unexpired term ends in 2025
• Board members must complete a six (6) hour planning orientation course during their first year and three (3) hours of continuing education in each subsequent year

Community Promotions & Engagement Committee

• ​Four (4) seats to be filled
• Each appointment is for a term of two (2) years
• The committee meets a minimum of once per quarter

Environment & Wildlife Committee

• ​Four (4) seats to be filled
• Each appointment is for a term of two (2) years
• The committee meets a minimum of once per quarter

Planning Commission

• Three (3) seats to be filled
• Each appointment is for a term of two (2) years
• The commission meets on the second Wednesday at 1:30PM
• Each member must be a registered voter of the town
• Board members must complete a six (6) hour planning orientation course during their first year and three (3) hours of continuing education in each subsequent year

Public Safety Committee

• ​Four (4) seats to be filled
• Each appointment is for a term of two (2) years
• The committee meets a minimum of once per quarter
